Knock Out Cancer with Kraków Kings

Sports, preventive health care, and great emotions in Kraków

This coming Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Sports and Recreation Center of the Jagiellonian University, 600th Anniversary Campus (ul. Gronostajowa 12, Kraków), a unique event combining American football, health prevention, and social engagement will take place.

Under the motto “Knock Out Cancer with Kraków Kings”, the junior team Kraków Kings will face Hunters Tarnów in the 4th round of the Polish Football League. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., with stadium gates opening at 12:00 p.m.

Sports and health hand in hand

The main partner of the event is ScanMed, which will prepare a special educational zone focused on cancer prevention, where visitors will also be able to sign up for free preventive examinations. Fans will not only enjoy the excitement of the game but also learn how to take care of their health and which tests to undergo in order to effectively prevent cancer.

Let us also remember that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and with early diagnosis, the battle against cancer can be won!

During the event, special pink shirts will also be on sale, with proceeds supporting cancer awareness and educational efforts.

“Sports teach us perseverance and determination – values that are just as important in the fight against cancer. That’s why it is so vital to combine competition on the field with education and health awareness,” emphasize the organizers.

Attractions for fans

Fans will be able to enjoy:

• food trucks – delicious food and drinks,
• hydration zone – stay energized while cheering,
• merchandise stand – Kraków Kings T-shirts, caps, and gadgets, including pink shirts promoting cancer awareness,
• ScanMed educational zone – prevention in the spotlight.

Additionally, young enthusiasts will be able to visit the recruitment zone and try out American football – from junior and senior teams to flag football in mini, mixed, and women’s formats.

• Entrance donation: 25 PLN (20 PLN with student ID).
• Parking: available at the venue.
• Public transport: stop “Ruczaj” (trams: 11, 17, 18, 52, 62), approx. 10 minutes on foot.
• Venue rules: instruments are not allowed – please do not bring them to the game.
