INTERVIEW WITH COACHES
What can we expect from Kraków’s defense? Can fans once again count on resilience and spectacular plays, while opponents face the fear of meeting the Kings on the field?
Adrian Żuławiński: Last season, our defense ranked second in the fewest points allowed during the regular season. Our goal for this season is not only to maintain that level but to become the best in the league. We have experienced players known for their spectacular tackles and interceptions—something most teams in the league could envy. We are already preparing for the next season to start as strong as possible, both physically and in terms of tactical and technical readiness.
Mateusz Klemens: We can expect another chapter of the well-known and beloved Kings’ defense. We have a solid core of players that will be strengthened by high-quality new recruits and major returns next season. We don’t need a revolution because we have the comfort of building on solid foundations. This bodes well for even tougher, faster, and more effective (perhaps even more spectacular) play. Kings games are always exciting, and our defense will make sure that continues in the upcoming season.
Leonid Prybluda: In my humble opinion, the modern world is too unstable and unpredictable to expect anything with certainty. But one thing I’m sure of is that Kraków Kings’ defense will play tough, spectacular, and physical football.
Szymon Karpęcki: The answer to this question should come from this year’s roster. A quick glance at the player list reveals that the Kings’ defense is packed with names that send shivers down opponents’ spines and cold sweat down their backs. It also features a significant amount of young blood eager to experience football in its purest form. Looking at the linebacker corps, I wouldn’t recommend our opponents try running up the middle. The defensive line will effectively encourage quarterbacks to get rid of the ball quickly, while the secondary will make them think twice about their passing targets. All this should successfully discourage offenses from scoring points and keep our fans from blinking, as a highlight-worthy play could happen at any moment.
