Bartosz Woch – Another transfer
The Kings’ transfer offensive continues! Bartosz Woch joins our team!
Bartosz is yet another experienced and well-known name across Poland to join our roster. He started his career with Dragons Zielona Góra (now Wataha Zielona Góra), but you probably know him best from his performances with Silesia Rebels. We remember those performances of our new running back very well, which is why we’re excited that he will be representing Kraków’s colors in the upcoming season!
Experience, confidence, strength, and speed – that’s what you can expect from our newest addition. He will form an electrifying backfield duo with Janek Szwej, further proving that Kraków football is all about the running game!
Bartosz, welcome to the Royal Family!
INTERVIEW WITH BARTOSZ
How did Bartosz Woch’s journey with football begin? Do you pursue anything else in life, or perhaps have other passions?
My football journey started when I was in my third year of technical school. Before a PE class, few players from Dragons Zielona Góra (now known as Wataha Zielona Góra) visited us. After their presentation, my friends and I got so hooked that we spent every break throwing the ball around at school. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend training at the time because I had to commute about 40 km one way to school, and I simply didn’t have the time. A few months after the Dragons crew came to our school, I moved to Zielona Góra and finally made it to my first training session—and now it’s been 10 years since that day.
I have a lot of interests and I love sports. I won’t go into too much detail, but if I had to name a few areas, I’d say my main interests right now are sports shooting and the stock market.
Your transfer to Kraków is undoubtedly a significant moment in your career—what convinced you to join the Kings?
A strong and well-bonded team. Playing against Kraków Kings, you always had the impression that you were competing with guys who left their hearts on the field while having a great time doing it—and that convinced me.
After years spent in Silesia, you’re moving to Kraków, where you’ll form a backfield duo with your old-new teammate, Janek Szwej. What can fans expect from you two? Do you think you can make an impact like David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs?
Janek and I didn’t always get along. When I joined Tychy Falcons, I had to compete with him for playing time. Now, as friends, I think we can confidently say that we can count on each other, and we’re sure that whenever one of us gets the ball, the job will get done. Of course, the competition is still there—rumor has it that Janek is allergic to gold, so I’d love to prove that even with him on the team, we can still win it!
